50 CC Accounts Banned at 3 AM: After the Damage, Let's Talk About Trust

What this episode covers

Just past three in the morning, I found out my CC had 50 accounts banned. Same setup I'd been running for six months without a hitch. Woke up and my heart sank.

Here's what happened — CC uploads generated pages to the cloud by default. I'd always had a rule blocking that. But on the 14th, the official side changed the link format, and my rule quietly stopped matching. About a dozen people in those 50-plus accounts clicked through, and their real locations were exposed. The financial hit was brutal — but what I really want to talk about, now at episode 100, is what came after.

Just past three in the morning, I found out my CC had 50 accounts banned. Woke up and my heart sank. This setup had been running for a solid six months, rock-steady, never a single issue. Fifty accounts wiped out overnight — a first for me.

Why did it happen? A default behavior in CC. By default, CC uploads generated pages to the cloud and creates a link. I’d been using a blocking rule to disable this. The rule ran for six months, always working, never once misfired.

Then on the 14th, the official side updated the link format. The moment the format changed, my blocking rule stopped matching. The default upload behavior quietly resumed — and what I’d been blocking for half a year was wide open again.

The fallout was immediate. Out of those 50-plus accounts, about a dozen clients clicked the link. That single click exposed their real locations.

Recovery was reasonably fast. By around 11 AM, everyone had been assigned new accounts and was back to normal. But the damage was severe — every single environment had to be rebuilt from scratch. Easily over ten thousand yuan, gone. Six months of stable setup, back to square one overnight.

What really got to me was how my clients responded. They’re angels, all of them. Even after something this serious, they kept volunteering to pay me more for my services. Whenever a course drops in the group, they’re in instantly.

Today marks episode 100 of my videos. Looking back at the journey, the rewards have been huge. I’ve built an active community of over 500 people. Every time the group fills up, I move the inactive members to a separate lurker group — always trimming a few dozen each time. The ones who stay are people who want to contribute, support each other, and help each other out. Different cities, different cohorts from hands-on workshops, and all kinds of smaller groups.

Looking back at this incident and everything along the way, my deepest takeaway is this — deliver with genuine sincerity, and you earn unconditional trust. Truly grateful for everyone who’s been on this journey with me.

When you deliver with genuine sincerity, what you get back is unconditional trust.
